HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FEET

Insights from KurSpa Posted March, 2018 Fitness & Exercise, Insights from Kurspa | November 11, 2015

As an esthetician for many years, I have seen my fair share of foot problems. One of the most common issues is fungus on the toenails. This is a very serious issue that a lot people do not know how to treat. Some do not even know they have it! What does it look like? Foot fungus can start off small.

As an esthetician for many years, I have seen my fair share of foot problems. One of the most common issues is fungus on the toenails. This is a very serious issue that a lot people do not know how to treat. Some do not even know they have it!

What does it look like?

Foot fungus can start off small and white. Almost appearing like a bubble on the nail. Eventually it spreads and turns yellow and grey. If you have this on your nail and it is not growing out you may have a fungus.

How can you get a foot fungus?

There are a number of ways to contract a fungus. This can happen after you have damaged the nail. This weakens the nail and makes it more susceptible to infection. Another way is through your common pedicure. If you go to a nail salon with a jet tub you are likely to contract a fungus. It is worthwhile going to a reputable spa with a stainless steel, non- porous foot basin.

What to do if you think you have a foot fungus:

Oil of Oregano! Makes sure you are saturating your nail with it 24 hours a day. You must not be wearing polish. Saturate a cotton pad and tape it to your toe, so that the nail cannot breathe. Change it twice a day. Do this until the nail begins to lift. Clip the nail away and keep saturating it until you think it is gone.
I hope this piece of information is helpful as it has worked for me.
